Pernilla Lindberg and Marina Alex Take the Horizon Healthy Steps Challenge

LPGA pros Pernilla Lindberg and Marina Alex will partner again this year with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon BCBSNJ) on the Horizon Healthy Steps Challenge during the ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer.
 
Lindberg and Alex will tally their steps over the three round tournament and the player with the most steps at the end will be crowned the winner, at which time Horizon BCBSNJ will donate $100 for every 1,000 steps the winner takes. The donation will be dedicated to the AtlantiCare Foundation to support patient services at the AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute, a Fox Chase Cancer Center Partner.

Pearson, Executive Director of Corporate Social Responsibility for Horizon BCBSNJ. “We are also proud to support and partner with the AtlantiCare Foundation and to provide funding for the AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute.”
 
The AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute, with locations in Egg Harbor Township and Cape May Court House, offers the full spectrum of cancer care and tailors treatment plans to fit each patient’s unique needs.

The ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer conducts community events throughout the year to benefit regional organizations and nonprofits. ShopRite, through its association with the LPGA, has donated more than $34 million to regional charities.

The ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer takes place at Seaview June 3–9, 2019. During competitions rounds from Friday-Sunday, Horizon BCBSNJ members receive free admission for two by showing their health insurance ID card at the Main Entrance Gate.
